As the leadership team of Crofton Park Baptist Church, we unequivocally condemn the inhumane and merciless brutality demonstrated towards George Floyd in Minneapolis, USA on 25^th May as an appalling act of injustice and a demonstration of deeply ingrained institutional racism.

Consequently, we would like to affirm that we believe in the moral equality, dignity and worth of every individual as created in the image of God. As those seeking to follow Jesus Christ, whose sacrificial death offers true reconciliation between all peoples, we stand against all forms of prejudice, bigotry, injustice, hatred and division. 

We value the unique distinctiveness of each member of our church family and we celebrate the richness of being a diverse community. And we believe God is now presenting us with the opportunity to grow more deeply into becoming the kind of kingdom movement that we are called to be – full of justice; loving and rejoicing in the culturally diverse richness of the global church and the whole of humanity.
